Description

– Located at 11424 Lakeshore Rd., on Lot 14, Con 1,  Wainfleet Township. This cemetery is composed of three separate sections. What is known as the old cemetery was the original site at the very back.  The land was given by David Morgan and deeded to the community free of charge.  To all appearances, this part of the cemetery was at some time filled in. The oldest grave in this section is that of Elizabeth Davis who died in 1840. There are no existing records of this part of the cemetery.

The second section or middle part belonged to Norman Morgan and was later purchased by Whitmore Augustine.  The area was surveyed and part of this land was unsuitable for cemetery purposes and was turned over to the Morgan’s Point United Church in 1960 by Harold Augustine.

This document includes transcriptions for 624 known gravestones recorded in 1981-82 (Section 1, stones #1-207; Section 2, stones #1-417).  Includes an index by page#.
