This file contains the Birth, Marriages and Death announcements from the Amherstburg Echo Newspaper that were published in the years 1874-1879.  In the birth announcements only the parents names are given along with the date the notice was published.  In the majority of cases, the father’s name is the only parent name listed, since the women’s name was simply listed as the wife of. In the marriage announcements the full names of the bride and groom are given as well as the names of their father.  The name of the minister and location of the marriage is often included. In the death announcements the age of the deceased is usually given. If the deceased is a married women, the death announcement includes her husband’s name. In some cases an article about the death or funeral is given and in some cases the place of burial is included.  If the death is about a child, then the name of the father and sometimes the mother is usually listed.
