The Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society was officially formed in 1980 from a small group of people, who got together and were interested in Genealogy. Betty Bruce, her husband Lorne, and their son Roy, along with his wife Ruth, were all part of the founding members of the Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

We thank them for their dedication to Quinte Branch.

This collection of clippings was saved by Betty Bruce and her son Roy, and left in envelopes at the Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. I am not sure when they arrived but can recall seeing them on the shelves for several years. The envelopes had the contents removed several times and then put back into the envelopes and returned to the book shelves. They were starting to get damaged from handling, so I decided to take on the project of sorting, numbering sheets and pasting the clippings, scanning, and indexing the 665 pages. This would involve many hours of commitment, so I reached out to fellow member Lynn Heale for her assistance. Lynn and I spent many days getting the project ready, and Lynn alone completed the indexing. We started this project well over 2 years ago and with it nearing completion, we are pleased with the results. Lynn, without your input and help this project would not have been completed.
