Birch Street at Grey Street, Chapleau, Ontario
In 1895 the Chapleau Protestant Burying Ground began along Beech Street. Our transcription records 339 burials. Also there are unmarked graves. At the gate are two bronze plaques “Chapleau Protestant Burying Ground” and “Deeded to Thomas Nicholson and James McNeice Austin by the C.P.RY 1895.” The earliest recorded burial appears to be David O. Moore in 1886.
