Description

– The Lincoln County Industrial Home was located at the foot of Scott Street (once known as the “Gordon Wood Road”), near 373 Ontario Street, St. Catharines.  No markers exist in the burying ground located behind the Ed Learn Ford Motor Sales garage on Ontario Street, on the bank of the “old canal” (the Twelve Mile Creek).  It was built as “a facility which could care for the infirm and destitute.”
