Description
This document is a journal kept by Bunker Sharp from 1889 – 1892, of stories told him by his mother Eunice (Johnson) Sharp (1800 – 1892) in the last three years of her life.
Eunice was the daughter of Henry Johnson and Mary (Merritt) Johnson. She spent her childhood in the Smithville area, later living on the Governor’s Road in Ancaster, in West Flamborough, and Rockton before going to Caistorville, Ontario where she spent the rest of her life. The stories recorded in this journal deal with people and events in the early part of the nineteenth century (published 1982, indexed, 205 individuals).
