Description

Richmond Hill Cemetery is located behind Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church at 10066 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill. The cemetery is not visible from Yonge Street.

This site appears to have been the village burial site until a Presbyterian congregation was organized in 1817. The first known burial is believed to have been a member of the First Nations. The on-site octagonal dead house, built in 1863, is one of the few remaining structures of this type.

The transcription, published in 2001, is 180 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
