Description

The St John’s Registers are housed in the Archives at the University of Windsor. In collaboration with the South Western Digital Archives, the Essex Branch of Ontario Ancestors was allowed to scan these books for research and preservation. Katharine Ball of SWODA provided access and guidance in formatting, and generally reviewed the finished documents. There are 12 Registers from St John’s in these archives, however the marriages for this document were compiled from these registers covering the following dates:
Book 4: Marriages 1842-1874
Book 7: Marriages 1874-1891 (a few 1897)
Book 8: Marriages 1890-1898
Book 9: Marriages August 1896-20 January 1898 and September 1897
Book 10: Marriages 1858-1896
Book 11: Marriages 1897-1899
Book 12: Marriages 1897-1899

There are 2 files to be downloaded, one is in alphabetic order by the GROOM’S surname and the other is in alphabetic order by the BRIDE’S MAIDEN SURNAME, in total 194 pages.  There is no index.
