This publication is a compilation of some of the St.Marys burials that have no surviving tombstone. These are from three sources.

A newspaper article of Sept 11, 1943 where the author reported walking through the Elgin St. (Old St. Marys) Cemetery and mentioned several names and year of death on markers that he saw. Almost all of these stones no longer survive and the names and years of death of these individuals are listed here with the cemetery section given as ELG.

From a previous St. Marys Cemetery publication there was a section of burials with no tombstones. This was checked with the microfilm of the burial register held at the Stratford-Perth Archives. Names were added to Section B and some to Section A.

A microfilm of the register of Holy Name Parish in St. Marys was compared with the previous transcription of the Catholic Section up to 1910. Names were recorded that were not in the previous transcription.

Note – These are not all the burials with no tombstones in St. Marys Cemetery Burial registers on microfilm need to be compared against current transcriptions.
