Description

The Wise Family Burying Ground was located on Lot 17, Concession 2, in the City of Richmond Hill.  Archaeologists from Western University documented this gravesite in 1988 and determined that there were 5 graves with markers and perhaps 2 more graves with no markers.

The cemetery was ordered closed in late 1988 and any remains were disinterred and removed (including markers) to  Elgin Mills Cemetery on Elgin Mills Road east.

This transcription, published in 1989, is 13 pages long and includes the history of the burying ground, the 5 transcriptions and an extensive genealogy for the Weisz/Weis/Vice/Wise family.
