Debra Honor UE, BA, B.Ed., PLCGS, Debra is a retired elementary teacher. She is a graduate of the National Institute of Genealogical Studies. She writes genealogical and historical articles for Branch newsletters, Families, as well as other journals and her local newspaper. As a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society for 42 years, Debra has served for many years on the Essex Branch Executive, the OGS Board as a Regional Director and has received the Robert Crawford Community Service Award from Ontario Ancestors. Debra has also been a speaker at the Ontario Ancestors Conferences and several branches as well as many other historical groups in Essex County.
She is a member of the United Empire Loyalists Association, having proven 10 Loyalist ancestors. Other groups include the Belle Vue Conservancy and the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario.
