Hamilton UEL Group Visited Chatham-Kent

On July 25th, 2014, about 40 members of the Hamilton UEL Group toured Southwestern Ontario and celebrated the centennial of the group’s formation.  The group was greeted by members of the Kent Branch of the Ontario Genealogy Society as they toured Chatham-Kent, including a tour of Fairfield Museum, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and the Tecumseh Monument.  A lunch reception was also held at the Chilled Cork in Chatham.

Special guests “John and Martha McGregor” surprised the tour group at the site of the Tecumseh Monument.  A video recording of the event can be viewed on-line at this link!
