Session 3: Aberdeen to Zonta : Women at the University of Waterloo – Jessie Blackwell

An overview of the women’s history collections at the University of Waterloo’s Special Collections & Archives. Particular emphasis will be placed on collections of Ontarian women and on those that relate to our core collecting areas such as reproductive rights.

Jessie Blackwell

Jessie Blackwell has been the Librarian, Special Collections & Archives at the University of Waterloo since 2014, where she is responsible for overseeing the rare book collection and providing instruction and outreach. Previous to that, she worked at a variety of cultural memory institutions. She is passionate about connecting researchers to original documents and the power of materiality to engage us with the past.
