Description

Knox Cemetery is located on Lot 16, Concession 9, in Vaughan Township, now the City of Vaughan. It’s on the north side of Rutherford Road west of Highway 27. Historically, the community here was known as Elder’s Mills.

Knox Presbyterian Church and cemetery were established here in 1845. In 1974, the church was destroyed by fire. The cemetery is now maintained by the City of Vaughan and, as of the date of publication of the transcription, was still active.

The transcription, published in 1993, is 27 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
