Description

Maple Cemetery is located on Lot 21, Concession 3, Vaughan Township, now the City of Vaughan. It’s on the north side of Major Mackenzie Drive, east of Keele Street.

In historical documents, the first mention of the cemetery is in 1883. Many graves and markers from small, family burial grounds have been moved here; many with dates earlier than 1883. The cemetery is active, non-denominational and administered by the City of Vaughan.

The transcription, published in 1995, is 156 pages long and includes a short history, photos, 3 maps, the inscriptions and an index.
