Description

Brown’s Corners Church Cemetery is located on Lot 11, Concession 3E, in Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It is on the north side of Highway #7, just west of Woodbine Avenue.

In 1842, Alexander Brown donated land on his farm for a church and burial ground. The following year a log church was built. The earliest recorded burial dates are 1850 and 1851. The cemetery today is a small area to the east and west of the present church.

The transcription, published in 1992, is 13 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
