Description

Sacred Heart Cemetery is located on the east half of Lot 15, Concession 5 in King Township. It is on the west side of Jane Street, south of the 16th side-road.

The cemetery was established in the early 1930’s for the inhabitants of the Sacred Heart Community, a project to place destitute families on small plots of land during the Great Depression. In addition, plots at the west end of the cemetery were purchased by the Augustinian Order at Marylake for burials of their members.

The transcription, published in 1988, is 12 pages long and includes an introduction, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
