Description

The original Bethesda Lutheran Church was built on part of Lot 17, Concession 6 in Markham Township and was named St. Philip’s  Lutheran Church.  Since 1864, the church has been known as Bethesda Lutheran and is located at 20 Union Street in Unionville.

The transcription of the church records includes Baptisms from 1819 to 1848, Marriages from 1821 to 1848 and Burials  from 1819 to 1847. Also included are the names from the church windows, plaques and memorials.

This publication, dating from the year 2000, also  includes an extensive history of the church, short biographies of prominent supporters and a full index. It is 103 pages long.
