Description

Lee Grave used to be located on the Lee Farm, situated on Lot 35, Concession 6 of Markham Township, now the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.  It was on the south side of Stouffville Road, just west of McCowan Road.

Many years ago, the Lee farm was sold to George Foote. At that time, the grave site was overgrown with foliage and Mr. Foote moved the marker to Cashel Cemetery (MRK-008).  In 1931, Cashel Cemetery was transcribed and the Lee marker was recorded as “Jane Lee, 1840-1843”.  To-day the Lee marker is no longer visible.
