Description

Old St. Stephen’s Church Cemetery is located on Lot 10, Concession 3, Vaughan Township, now the City of Vaughan.

This site was consecrated on St. Stephen’s Day in 1838 for the building of an Anglican church and the church building was completed in 1839. Services at the original St. Stephen’s Church ended in 1911. In 1965, Vaughan Township erected a memorial cairn from the stones in the old pioneer cemetery.

The transcription, published in 1990, is 8 pages long and includes an extensive history of the site, a photo, the inscriptions and an index.
