Description
Queensville Cemetery is located on Lot 23, Concession 2 in the Township of East Gwillimbury. The entrance is on Leslie Street in the Town of Queensville.
The cemetery was established in 1874 on 4 acres of land originally owned by William Graham. On the grounds is a “dead house” built in 1886.
In the late 1920s, early 1930s, remains were brought to the cemetery for re-interment from the old Christian Burying Grounds at corner of Woodbine Ave. & the Holborn Rd. Today, one can see a few of these early stones that predate 1874.
The transcription, published in 2014, is 342 pages long and consists of a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
