Description
Reesor Mennonite Cemetery is located on Lot 1, Concession 11, Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It’s on the north-west corner of Steeles Avenue and County Road 30, which is the York-Durham Town Line.
Originally the congregation met in a log school house on the farm of John Eby Reesor. The meeting house and drive shed were added in 1857 and renovated in 1950. The cemetery is still active and administered by the City of Markham.
The transcription, published in 1992, is 23 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
