Description

Reesor Pioneer Cemetery is located on Lot 14, Concession 10, Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It is situated in a field east of Reesor Road and north of Highway 7, enclosed by a cement balustrade.  To view the cemetery permission must be obtained since it’s on private property.

This pioneer burial ground is on land settled in 1804 by Christian Reesor and used by the Reesor family for over 90 years. Today, this land has been expropriated by the federal government.

The transcription, published in 1992, is 9 pages long and includes a brief history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
