Description

Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery is located on the west half of Lot 12, Concession 3, in Vaughan Township, now the City of Vaughan. It’s on the east side of Keele Street, north of Langstaff Road.

In 1811, Jacob Keffer gave a plot of land to the local church community of German Lutherans for the establishment of a church and burial ground.  The present church on-site was built in 1860. An historical plaque has been erected to honour the founding Keffer family.

The transcription, published in 1992, is 50 pages long and includes a history of the church, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
