Your Impact In This Role
As a Social Media Coordinator, you will craft and execute engaging content strategies that enhance OGSโs visibility across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and our website. Youโll also have opportunities to write captivating blog posts and contribute to website design and optimization. Additionally, if youโre comfortable, you may occasionally represent OGS in public-facing interviews, video content, or live events, helping to connect directly with our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and schedule creative, high-quality content, including posts, reels, and stories, tailored for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Collaborate with team members to design visually engaging graphics, templates, and multimedia assets that reflect OGS branding.
- Write blog posts featuring genealogical tips, member stories, and updates on OGS events and initiatives.
- Contribute to website enhancement by updating content, improving design elements, and optimizing navigation for better user experience.
- Monitor social media trends and analyze engagement metrics, providing recommendations to refine content strategies.
- (Optional) Represent OGS in interviews, live sessions, or video content, showcasing key initiatives or events to a public audience.
About You
- Creative Storyteller: You have a knack for crafting compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Social Media Pro: Youโre experienced with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and ideally familiar with analytics tools.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar graphic design platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with website platforms (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
- Strong Writer and Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for creating impactful posts and blog content.
- Passionate About Engagement: You enjoy connecting with audiences through creative strategies and storytelling.
- Highly Organized: You can juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Public Speaking Enthusiast (Optional): While not mandatory, comfort with public-facing roles, such as interviews or live events, is an asset.
