Ontario Ancestors to become Digital Image Library Affiliate

We are pleased to announce that Ontario Ancestors has recently signed an agreement with FamilySearch International to become a book scanning partner. Under the agreement FamilySearch will provide a specialized book scanner and volunteers in exchange for access to Ontario Ancestors’ extensive library. Digitized documents will be publicly available on both websites. Digitization is scheduled to begin by the end of 2020, depending on pandemic restrictions. OCAPG Website Hosted by Ontario Ancestors

  The Ontario Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (OCAPG) is pleased to announce that it has accepted an offer of free hosting from Ontario Ancestors for its website https://ocapg.org/. The OCAPG website has been seamlessly transferred to the Ontario Ancestors’ hosting platform, in a move which will save OCAPG yearly hosting fees. Cemetery Vandalism and Rehabilitation Fund Ontario Ancestors is dedicated to helping support community efforts to repair damage to cemeteries incurred by acts of vandalism and for rehabilitation projects within cemeteries that are considered to have historical or cultural significance. To assist in this effort, Ontario Ancestors has created the Cemetery Vandalism and Rehabilitation Fund.
