Description

– Located at 154 Main Street West, Grimsby, on land donated by Robert Nelles, United Empire Loyalist. The pioneers built a log church in 1794, replaced in 1804.  The present stone church was erected 1819-25. In this churchyard are buried many members of the Loyalist families who founded The Forty (Grimsby).

This document begins with a newer transcription record with an index showing surnames by gravestone numbers #1-926.  Also included – a copy of the old 1985 transcription document with index by page number, plot maps, with old and newer transcribers’ notes where applicable for 240+ surnames relating to the “Additional Information”.  A note re: “’Early Gravestones: refers to a church record showing inscriptions of earliest stones (several non-existent in 1965) — author and date unknown.
