Edna B. Chant was a newspaper woman and historian for Athens and the surrounding district.

From the files of the Athens Reporter she chose items of interest for her book.

Unfortunately, her health prevented her from completing her project.

Lois Schroeder, who is also an Athens and area historian, was determined to complete the work her friend had started.

Edna’s Scrapbook is the culmination of the labour of love of these two ladies.

Dave Bulford, who also has roots in Athens and the surrounding communities completed the task by indexing all the names in the book – 3450 of them.
