Description

Clendenen Cemetery is located on Lot 17, Concession 8, in Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It is situated on the north-east corner of Williamson and Miramar, just north of 16th Avenue.

John Clendenen Sr. received a Crown patent for this land in 1803. Following his death in 1815, the land was divided among his descendants. This small family cemetery sits on a portion of the original homestead.
