Description

Melville Church Cemetery is located on the east part of Lot 29, Concession 5, Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It’s on the west side of Kennedy Road, between 18th and 19th Avenues.

The original church, the Free Church Presbyterian, was established in 1849 and became the United Church in 1925. The earliest marker is dated 1854. As of the transcription publication date, the cemetery was still active and administered by Melville United Church.

The transcription, published in 1994, is 31 pages long and includes a short history, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
