Description

Schomberg Union Cemetery is located on the east half of Lot 33, Concession 9, in King Township. It’s on the west side of Highway 27, just south of Highway 9.

A Quaker Meeting House was built on this site about 1816. The building still stands and is used a vault in the cemetery. The cemetery was established about 1833 by the Society of Friends but is now non-denominational. As of the publication date of the transcription, the cemetery was still active.

The transcription, published in 1995, is 75 pages long and includes a short history, photos, 2 maps, the inscriptions and an index.
