Description

Thornhill Community Cemetery is located on the west part of lot 30, Concession 1E, Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It’s on the northeast corner of John Street and Church Lane in the village of Thornhill.

The cemetery was already in existence when the Thornhill Cemetery Company was formed in 1867. It was intended as a non-denominational cemetery for the community and, as of the publication date of the transcription, was still active.

The transcription, published in 1993, is 148 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
