Description

Victoria Square Church (West) Cemetery is located on the east part of Lot 25, Concession 3, in Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It’s on the west side of Woodbine Avenue just south of Elgin Mills Road, adjoining Victoria Square United Church.

The cemetery was established in 1845 when the local congregation of Wesleyan Methodists built a small frame church. Over the years the cemetery has expanded and, as of the publication date of the transcription, was still active.

The transcription, published in 1992, is 49 pages long and includes a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
