Description

Willson Burying Ground was located on the west part of Lot 26, Concession 1, on the east side of Yonge Street in Markham Township, now the City of Markham.

This was a family burial ground with only one burial, which was closed in 1940 and moved to the Willson cairn. The cairn is in Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery (VGH-012) in Thornhill on the south boundary, to the left of the entrance.

The transcription, published in 1992, is 5 pages long and includes a short history,  a photo, and the inscriptions on the cairn. The inscription for John Willson, UEL, includes a brief biography.
