Description

Zion Church Cemetery is located on the east part of Lot 1, Concession 10, in Markham Township, now the City of Markham. It’s on the west side of the 11th Concession Road, just north of Steeles Avenue East.

Zion Church and Cemetery were established in 1857 by the Scottish Presbyterian congregation in the area. The earliest marker is dated 1858. As of the publication date of the transcription, the cemetery was still in use.

The transcription, published in 1993, is 20 pages long and includes a brief history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
