Description

Hillcrest Cemetery is located on Lot 6, Concession 7, in Vaughan Township, now the City of Vaughan. It’s on the north side of Highway #7, 0.5 km east of Islington Avenue in the Town of Woodbridge.

In 1916, the Hillcrest Cemetery Company purchased 6 acres of land on this site. It is believed that a native ossuary is located here, and in 1959, the McCleary Private cemetery was moved to this location. As of the transcription publication date, the cemetery was still active.

The transcription, published in 1994, is 106 pages long and consists of a short history, photos, a map, the inscriptions and an index.
