The Hughes Family Burial Ground was located on the east side of Yonge Street at Lots 91 and 92, Concession 1E, in the Township of Whitchurch, now the Town of Newmarket.

In 1973, when the area was under development, the remains were re-interred in the Friends’ (Orthodox) Burying Ground (Newmarket) (NWM-008), located at 17000 Yonge Street next to the Quaker Meeting House.  A stone and a metal plaque mark the final resting place of Sarah Hughes and two of her three children.
